I am training with my PTSD service dog, Doc. He has changed my life in many ways.
For many years since my tour of service in the Marines in Vietnam, I was unable to just close my eyes to sleep. For most people sleep is when you are calm and recharge yourself. My attempt as sleep was filled with night terrors from past combat!
Thanks to Doc, he doesn’t let me stay there—he senses when it is happening and wakes me up! During the day he snuggles with me and gives me attention if I get upset.
He is a constant companion and takes good care of me. This is because of Nosey Dog Detection Partners.
